Most owners get their books back weeks after the month they describe, once the decisions have already been made. Median works the other way around. Your bank, card, payroll and billing feeds map into a general ledger, AI categorizes and posts transactions every business day, and an accountant who knows your business reviews the exceptions. Your books stay current, so when you need a number you get it the same day you ask.

Clean books are the foundation of the work, not the finished product. The questions owners actually ask are which clients, products and people are profitable against what they cost, how much more can go out this month before margin drops below target, where the money went and what changed, and how much runway is really left. We build the reporting and analysis that answer those questions on top of your live numbers, and keep them in front of you every month, so nobody is rebuilding a model in a spreadsheet the night before a board meeting or a bank call.

We hire accountants and we build our own software. The software carries the volume that used to be a full week of somebody's data entry, and the accountant on your account carries the judgment, catches what the automation gets wrong, and is one message away in Slack, email or text. You always know the name of the person doing your books.

We work in QuickBooks Online or Xero, or we can move you onto the platform we built, which runs the ledger and gives you a dashboard of the metrics and reports we build for your business. Migration is free and the price is the same either way. Pricing is metered on your actual financial accounts and transaction volume, so the bill tracks the work your books take rather than a headcount or a tier you have outgrown. Engagements are month to month with no term commitment.

Our clients are startups and owner-led businesses: SaaS and AI companies, agencies, consultancies and studios, e-commerce, and professional services firms, including US entities whose founders live outside the country. We keep the books and coordinate the return with the preparer who signs it, so the filing is built from books that are already current rather than reconstructed at year end.
